The title means : Farewell: We'll meet again in the future
Well FMA anime is finally over....it was sucha good series and for anyone out there who still hasn't watched it yet what are you waiting for..get to it..^_^...Thank goodness there is still a movie in the coming year and there's the manga to keep the flame of fandom alive...^_^...
Btw....for all thoes who haven't seen the end I'm sorry but this is a scene from ep 51...it's just that I was soo tempted to re-create it...as it was such a beautiful scene where we last see Ed (keeping in mind Ed didn't actually have wings for real - hehe wish he did though) and Noooo this scene is not where the anime ends...there is a little bit more after so you won't be disappointed...which leads up to the movie...^_^...
I reckon the hardest bit working on this pic was arranging the lighting and the shadows which fall on the body...I was trying to emulate being surrounded by the light of the transmutation circle...I think it's not shiny enough but having looked at it over and over again...if it were any shinier it probably would start looking ummm hehe over done...@_@...
Hehe in a way I felt the pic looked something like DNAngel meets FMA with the whole wings thing (but I luv angels and feathers hehe soo pretty)....because well I used to do heaps of DNAngel fanart ne ^_^..Also just realised I've been on DA for a year oredi...Big thanks to everyone who have watched, critqued and commented on my works for the past year *bows*..
Anyways..I shall quit my blabbering sorry for the little spoiler....you can probably spot what the spoiler is actually...Gomen gomen....but please enjoy the pic for what it is Arigatou ^_^
Catch ya later
Side note: Yiji chan arigatou for the hand corrections again ^_^

Aaaw, really beautiful *_* Haven't seen the scene you described ('cause I only saw about half of the episode >.<, but your pic is just... aaaw *__* Edoo~
*Stares*
I almost cried durring that scene, damnit. You did such an amazing job with it. The lighting is so perfect, and you totally captured the mood. I'm soooo sad that the anime ended, but there's always the manga and the movie, as you said. But still! Episode 51 simply couldn't have been better.
On a critical note, the picture seems almost flawless. The only thing that bothers me is the way Edo's left thumb almost blends into his forearm. I think you should have used a slightly different shade of skin tone, but that, of course, is very minor.
Edo does look cool with wings. T.T You know, it's strange how the series ended both sadly and happily. Edo died, but not really. Al got his body back but lost his memory. Roy kept his life at the cost of his appearance and reputation. It's just as Roy told Riza - the world is imperfect, which is why it's beautiful. ^_^
